- Physical exercise like walking, swimming or dancing . Choosing more fruits and vegetables, drinking plenty of water, and getting enough sleep.
- Meditation, mindfulness and/or prayer. Relaxation and prayer exercises can improve your state of mind and outlook on life.
- Limit alcohol use and avoiding illicit drugs- medications not prescribed by a licensed provider. People sometimes use alcohol and other drugs to “self-heal” but, alcohol and illicit drugs only aggravate the problem.
- Volunteer to spend your time and energy helping others. Volunteering is rewarding and may make you feel better knowing your helping someone else in need - and it's a great way to meet new people, remotely of course!
