Gina RochaPresident Jean Marie “Gina” Rocha is a native Rhode Islander who earned her BS in Nursing at the University of Rhode Island and her Masters in Public Health from Boston University. With greater than 30 years experience as a Registered Nurse and a public health practitioner she is a respected leader in the healthcare community and holds multiple awards including RI’s Nurse Leader of the Year in a Non Traditional Setting. Much of her career has focused on improving patient and population health outcomes with an interest on advancing health equity for communities of color. With her nursing and public health background she works with hospitals and health care systems to conduct community health needs assessments to identify and prioritize health care needs. Diabetes, heart and lung diseases have a higher burden prevalence for racial and ethnic communities than non white Hispanics in Rhode Island. Working towards a coordinated approach to community benefits keeps all communities healthier. Some of her formative years were spent in Providence’s Mount Hope section where here parents instilled generosity, kindness and encouragement as family values. She has raised 3 children who all live locally and are productive members of society and actively involved with her grandchildren. ROXANNE N. DEBRITTO
Treasurer Roxanne N. DeBritto is a lifelong resident of East Providence, RI. She was married for 30 years to the late Kevin M. DeBritto and she has one son, 2 stepchildren, 6 grandchildren & one great grandchild.
Roxanne is also a member of The New Dimension Apostolic Center in Providence. Roxanne has been the Office Manager at Coastal Medical in East Providence for the past 30 years. During that time, she has managed thousands of patients, doctors & staff. Roxanne is the person who boosts morale, plans get togethers & celebrations. She also participated in Habitat for Humanity, has taken leadership courses & is a community volunteer. Roxanne is admired and respected in her position at as well as in community. As a Board member, Roxanne brings compassion and understanding of the human struggles and facilitates decision- making in supporting resiliency that leads to a productive life in those who have made mistakes along the way. |
LAKEESHA CRAIGSecretary
Lakeesha Craig has been in business for six years as an Independent Contractor in the Executive Administration sector, with an educational background and strong personal interest in Psychology. She is currently in pursuit of her Phd, with a focus in Industrial and Organizational Psychological research.
Her professional background was established in Legal Administration, followed by working at Brown University in the Biomedical Public Health Department as a Clinical Research Coordinator and Community Screening Assistant for the duration of over 20 years. Subsequently, public health analytics and research evaluation of economical and social factor’s contribution to overall health and wellness have been of strong personal and professional interest to her for a significant amount of time. Being as such, Lakeesha assisted in founding the non for profit organization Community Provisions, in correlation with other real estate, medical and financial professionals. She is currently serving on the board as Secretary, coordinating mental health programs and providing marketing, administrative, social media and graphic performance, while working to develop programs consistent with efficiently diminishing social inequality.
